Alejandrina Gomez, 71 of Trenton has been accepted into God's loving embrace on June 19, 2017 at her daughter's residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Manati, Puerto Rico on October 22, 1945, “Aleja” or “Alex” as she was referred to by her family and friends moved to Trenton when she was 15 years old. She attended Trenton Public Schools and began her working career at the former Star Porcelain. She then dedicated over 25 years as an upholsterer for Lambert Furniture. Aleja enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, and shopping at Columbus, she mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and going to church. She was a parishioner of the Pentecostal Assembly of God Church for 56 years and was always praying for members of the congregation and visiting the sick. Aleja's family appreciates the gentle love and care that was given by her caregivers, her daughter Nancy Chavez and granddaughter Amanda Calix. Aleja is predeceased by her parents, Modesto Valdez Espino and Mercedes Montanez, late husband Ramon J. Davila, Sr., siblings, Ruben Valdez, Odilio Valdez, Carmen Santiago, and Gilbert Valdez, grandson Benjamin Davila, Jr, sister in law Mercedes Valdez and brother in law Juan Centeno. Left to cherish her beautiful memory is her loving husband of over 38 years, Angel Gomez, caring daughter Nancy Chavez (Manuel), caring sons, Ramon Davila. Jr. (Rebecca), Benjamin Davila, Sr., David Davila (Maria), siblings, Anibal Valdez, Angelica Lebron (Benny), David Valdez (Norma), Mercy Centeno, Iris Simmons (David), grandchildren, Efrain, Ramon, Josue (Damaris), Eddie (Nicole), Julian, Amanda (Wilmer) Juliana, and Nico, 6 great grandchildren; Josue Jr., Jariel, Ethan, Izabella, Lianna, and Jandel, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives will miss her deeply. Funeral Service will be held Saturday; June 24, 2017, 10:00am at the Pentecostal Assembly of God Church, 65 N. Clinton Avenue, Trenton NJ 08609. Calling hours will be held from 9:00am-10:00am at the Church Saturday morning. Interment; Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Angel Gomez. Funeral arrangements under the auspices of funeral directors David C. Chiacchio, CFSP, and Rhonda L.
