Jeannett Potts October 25, 1957 - July 22, 2021 The world lost a wonderful woman on July 22, 2021. Jeannett Potts was born in Trenton, NJ and spent her life there amongst her family and many, many friends. An extremely caring and giving woman, Jeannett was a complex woman that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. An animal lover, she adored her dogs Brandy and Bubba. Throughout her life she maintained aquariums and was quite fond of Tiger Oscars. An avid and natural, untrained artist she often created beautiful drawings as gifts for loved ones. She enjoyed painting artistic designs on rocks and using the natural world around her as her canvas. A headstrong woman, Jeannett did things her way but was always there for those she loved in a crisis and was protective of her family. She was a free spirit that let the wind carry her where it did. She loved popsicles in the summer and kiddy pools. She had a wonderful taste for classic rock and loved the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and The Doobie Brothers. She enjoyed decorating her home in the way only she could. Through her life’s journey she spent several years working for General Motors in Ewing, NJ; FDP Brakes, and Princeton University. She enjoyed her leisure time with friends at Conte’s Saloon in Trenton so much so that she became a bar tender there for a time. She was the first to pull crumpled dollar bills out of her pocket to buy you lunch or try to give back to those who had helped her on occasion. She adored her mother June and spent much of her free time on adventures with her. She is in Heaven now, at peace after a most exciting but sometimes difficult life. She’s now with her father Ernest Lobello, Sr., her fiancé Tony VanMorter and her dog Brandy. She is survived by her mother and best friend June Lobello, her son William Potts, daughter Jessica Kassar, her husband Michael Kassar, her grandchildren, Julianna Kassar (11), Brandon Kassar (9), her sister June Donley and brother Calvin Potts, niece Rachel Barker as well as the many, many, friends she made easily throughout her life. She will be greatly missed. The world was more interesting with her in it. Arrangements under the auspices of David C. Chiacchio and the compassionate staff of the Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home.
