Deacon Jose J Beauchamps Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Deacon José J. Beauchamps, 88 of Ewing has been accepted into God's loving embrace on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Deacon Beauchamps was part of the Puerto Rican Migration that came to the Trenton area. At the early age of 17, he left Puerto Rico seeking his fortune and landed on the shore of Florida and worked his way up the East Coast through his company Job until he began working at General Motors until his retirement at the age 62. In 1985, during a parish retreat in Reading, Pa, Deacon José first felt the calling to become Deacon. He and his wife, Aida, continued to pray for this intention as they continued to work in the Spanish Community trying their best to garner resources to establish a family based faith and church community. They were interested in helping to establish and grow a Spanish Community.Their work was not unnoticed by Father Lupo, and he suggested that José would make a good Deacon. Once Deacon José said yes to God in this mission he never looked back. He and his wife Aida, along Father Armand Iavarone, worked diligently pounding the pavement and going house to house inviting all who would listen to our Lady of Mount Carmel, until they eventually moved to The Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption. They were able to establish their vision of a Catholic Spanish Church Community. Deacon José and his wife Aida were instrumental in saving souls, bringing souls to God, establishing many church groups, and he officiated at countless weddings; including those of his own children, baptisms of his grandchildren, great niece, and countless families in the Community. He was not only a great Patriarch of the family, but he was also a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, son and uncle. He has a long history of dedication and service to God and our community at large. In his down time; as he became older and could dedicate time to other pursuits, he enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and the quatro. He kept the family cars in working order, and enjoyed landscaping his home to make it beautiful. Deacon José initiated, belonged to and served in many groups over the years. Some of them are: Cursillos de Cristiandad Socios del Santo Nombre Aventuras en Actitudes Marriage Encounter Grupo de Oración Carismático, "Rios De Aguas Viva" Mujeres en Victoria Muscular Dystrophy of Puerto Rico etc. Deacon José is predeceased by his parents Alejandro and Angela Beauchamps, children; Michael, Enid Ann (Annie), and Karen Beauchamps, brother and sister, Rafael Beauchamps and Margarita Beauchamps, and his sister in law Adelaida (Albarrán) and brother in law, Dr.Julio Paredes. Left to cherish his wonderful memory is his loving wife of over 66 years, Aida L. (Albarrán-Gonzalez) Beauchamps, caring children; Irvin Beauchamps, Yvette Beauchamps-Cimino (Brian Vincent Cimino), Madeline Beauchamps, Lorraine Ann Stolberg (Scott L. ), Daisy Beauchamps, José M. Beauchamps, Jr., his beautiful grandchildren, Candice, Emélie Anne, Katherine A., Lianna M., Andres J. “Andrew”, Angel J., Hector J., and Anastacia, adorable great grandchildren, Sophia M. and Dean Thomas Rinaldy, and brother in law José Antonio Albarrán, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members, friends, and his church family at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption,and St. Joseph's Parish will miss him deeply. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, August 4, 2021, 10:00am at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, 151 North Warren Street, Trenton NJ 08608. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 3:00pm-6:00pm and Wednesday morning prior to Mass from 9:00am-10:00am at the Cathedral. The family respectfully requests that all attendees WEAR A MASK. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Cathedral. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamilton Township. Arrangements under the auspices of David C. Chiacchio and the compassionate staff of the Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home.
