Richard "Rick" Hechler, 73 of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully at his residence on August 2, 2019 with his loving wife by his side. Born in Rockwood, PA on April 18, 1946 "Rick" as he was affectionately referred to by his family and friends was a life long Pennsylvania resident. Rick proudly served in the United States Army overseas and retired from Pittsburgh Metal Lithographics after dedicating over 25 years. He enjoyed antique cars, scratch off lottery, and movies with Clint Eastwood, Bruce Willis, and Charles Bronson. Edith's creativity around their home kept Rick busy with home improvement projects. Rick is predeceased by his parents Morgan Hechler and Doris Jean Francis, daughter Brenda Gomola and brother Lateary Hechler. Left to cherish his wonderful memory is his loving wife of 51 years, Edith Marrazzo Hechler, caring children April Hechler (Dan Harper) and Robert H. Gomola, brother, David Hechler (Karen) of Glendale, AZ and sisters; Brenda Garnett (Charles), and Tessie Landman of Florida, sister in law, Eleanor Ritter, he was a loving grandfather to Justin, Daniel, and Jasmine Hechler and Robert H. Gomola, Jr. and great grandfather to Leilani Keahloha, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019, 1:00pm at the Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 South Broad Street, Trenton NJ 08611. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00am -1:00pm. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Arrangements under the direction of David C. Chiacchio and the dedicated staff of the Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home.
