Our History
The Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home located at 990 South Broad Street, (Rte 206) South Trenton, NJ under the auspices of the Chiacchio Family has been serving bereaved families in the greater Mercer County, NJ and Bucks County, PA regions with care and understanding for decades. The firm is not a partnership, a corporation, nor a part of any conglomerate. The funeral home is solely owned by one family, where the family also resides.
The Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home has directed in excess of 3,000 funerals, and always continues to strive for greater family satisfaction and comfort.
The building facade is constructed of marble quarried in Vermont and the modern interior decorated by the Fowlers of New York City consists of period Gothic and Art Deco lighting and furniture appointments. The chapel's recessed ceiling depicts a sky that is hand painted by artist Kelly Ingram that mirrors the one she painted for the famed McCarter Theater of Princeton, NJ. The funeral home is located on the main street in Trenton, Rte 206 where the facility offers off street parking facilities that is conveniently located directly behind the funeral home where the entrance is handicap accessible.
The funeral home offers traditional funerals, cremation services, church viewings, assistance with floral designs and musical selections, memorial services, video memorial tributes, at home pre-need funeral/cremation counseling, arrangements, as well as experience world wide shipping of remains. Assistance is expertly given with Veterans, Social Security, and SSI Medicaid death benefits.
The firm is a member of the National, New Jersey, and Mercer County Funeral Director's Associations, the later of which Mr. David C. Chiacchio, CFSP was past president and is also a member of the NJ Prepaid Funeral Trust Fund.
